Sartell Youth Baseball Association - FAQ

1.     What days of the week will my son play baseball?

The majority of the games will be on Tuesday and Thursday nights.  Gopher State games will play Monday through Thursday evenings.  Please note that due to field availability, we will schedule games when we can.  

 

2.     Do the leagues include practice?

The Leagues will offer as many practices as possible, but we cannot commit to a number based on available fields

 

3.     What is the difference between try-outs and evaluations?

Tryouts are for players interested in playing on a Gopher State team and evaluations are used to make the Willy Mays teams balanced and more equal with the other Sartell teams.

 

4.     When does the season start and when will the season end?

Gopher State starts on April 27^th and will run until the end of July.  Willy Mays will start in early June after school is out.

 

5.     When is the season ending tournament?

A Willy Mays tournament will be sponsored by Sartell, Foley, or Sauk Rapids at the end of the season (late July/early August).   

 

6.     How will I get notified of game cancellations?

The league will send out a mass-email and/or text message (based on your registration preferences).  This will also be placed on the website.

 

7.      How can I help with Sartell Baseball?

The association needs many coaches and helpers to make the teams run as effectively as possible.  Please try to volunteer if you are able.
